Apple is expected to launch the Macbook Pro 2016 this year and the new variant of iPad Mini 5 next year. Here's what we know so far.

Apple rumor: iPad Mini 5 to get a new size and storage base?

The 16 GB might no longer be an ideal storage for a gadget these days. And the iPad Mini 5 could house larger space, 32 GB storage base. The retina IPS display might also get a larger screen size of 9.7 inch.

Investigating the rumors and speculations, KGI Security analyst Ming Chi Kuo, said that Apple could launch 10.5 inch iPad Pro, Business Insider reported. If rumors are true, then the 9.7 inch might be an iPad Mini 5 variant. The fans who prefer the mini size should expect a new name - iPad Mini Pro. Or worse, prepare to hear a bad news as Apple is speculated to discontinue the iPad Mini variant.

Apple rumor: Macbook Pro 2016 and iPad Mini 5 release date

The rumors on Macbook Pro 2016 build up around its release date. Judging from the pattern, Macbook Pro was updated in March 2015. The fans expect to see any major upgrade of the Macbook Pro 2016 this year. However, the laptop was absent at Apple iPhone 7 event and it did not make any sound either at WWDC 2016 in June.

As the rants hint to October release, this could mean that Apple might hold another special event to show off the thinner, more powerful Macbook Pro with its OLED touchscreen panel and Touch ID, Stuff reported.

As for the iPad lineup, Kuo also said that the tablet variants could be released in March 2017 but the major upgrades might come in 2018. Hence, this could mean that the rumors about Apple increasing the storage base and resizing the screen in 2017 are true.

Whether Apple will introduce the iPad Mini 5 or the Macbook Pro 2016 first, we'll just have to trust what Tim Cook said in his leaked email, "Stay tuned."
