The last season's finale of FOX's "Gotham" left audiences with a lot of changes and things to speculate on. The character of Hugo Strange portrayed by actor B.D. Wong in particular, has surprised fans with the reveal of the experiments that they are conducting at Indian Hill.

In a report by ComicBook.Com, fans are also further astonished with the sudden reveal that key characters that have died during the past episodes of the season were actually experimented on and brought back to life. It was also equally shocking to viewers to see the so-called, "monsters" alight from the escaped bus from Arkham Asylum, and flee into the streets of Gotham. One of the monsters has built a great mystery for the next season - the Bruce Wayne look-alike. There is also the a faint laugh that can be heard, and there are some speculations that it could the Joker's proto-version, Jerome.

According to WeGotThisCovered, Gotham has been mostly known as a "villain-centric" series, and because of it, fans can only speculate what abominations will be lurking in the shadowy streets of Gotham City. Season 3's big villain has already been confirmed as the "Mad Hatter," so what other threats can the show's protagonist, Jim Gordon expect. FOX has just recently announced an official synopsis. Season 3 sees Jim Gordon in a monster-ridden Gotham. His persona is that of a bounty hunter as he is bent on finding the answers to the whereabouts of the Indian Hill escapees, and why their abilities are killing them. While all of these are happening, Bruce Wayne's doppelganger is roaming the streets. Tabitha and Barbara had opened a new nightclub called "The Sirens" in the upcoming season premiere of Gotham entitled, "Mad City: Better to Reign in Hell."

Season 3 of "Gotham" premieres on September 19, 2017 on FOX.
