"Stranger Things" Season 2 has not been officially issued for renewal by Netflix but it did not stop fans from giving their speculations and theories on what may happen in the series. One particular story suggests that the previous season writers tapped Stephen King to write the episodes of the next season. However, a report surfaced on the web that claim is not true.

King has reportedly volunteered to write the episodes of "Stranger Things" Season 2, The Studio Exec reported. Duffer brothers, Matt and Ross, on the other hand, will take charge as the series showrunners and creators.

However, a report claimed that the said news is not factual. "Stranger Things" was the product of the Duffer brothers' writing team and they have not announced that they will be handing the writing duties for "Stranger Things" Season 2 to King or any other writer, Scopes reported. Scopes also revealed that The Studio Exec is a satirical movie based website that publishes spoof news, reviews and comedy masterpieces.

The false news about "Stranger Things" Season 2 did not come as a surprise given the way the success of the series has bred unique reports. Moreover, King, himself, commended "Stranger Things" through a tweet which seemed to be unbelievable to the Duffer brothers, reportedly.

Meanwhile, the reason why Netflix has not confirmed "Stranger Things" Season 2 yet is merely because the company is just taking a break. Executive Ted Sarandos revealed in a press con that they just need time to breathe especially since they just released the full eight episodes of the series.

"Stranger Things" Season 2 may be summer's biggest unexpected hit as fans have no reason to doubt that the show will be renewed, reportedly. In the meantime, Sarandos suggested that people who have not seen the first season should focus on it first as many fans are really falling in love with "Stranger Things" Season 1. Meanwhile, watch the "Stranger Things" Season 1 recap here.
