MacBook fans, rejoice! The MacBook Pro 2016 release date is upcoming, presumably not later than November 2016, but the refresh is likely to skip Intel's seventh-generation Kaby Lake chip, according to a slew of latest reports doing rounds online. Powering the purported Mac notebook instead is Skylake with the GPU muscle furnished by AMD and Intel.

Although rumor mills have not ceased swirling speculations around the MacBook Pro 2016 release date hinting that Apple has pushed back the scheduled 2016 arrival of the much-awaited MacBook Pros due to Kaby Lake, Apple Insider claims that the laptops will be unveiled in the next few months, and will be running on Skylake.

In other words, the impending MacBook Pro refresh will pack the seventh generation of the Intel Core-series processor in it.

The report further claims that AMD Polaris 11 GPU will be used with exclusive models of the MacBook Pro 2016, especially the 15-inch premium editions. Industry watchers believe that Apple will debut the MacBook Pro 2016s in 13-inch and 15-inch form factors featuring lighter and thinner build than ever, and the latter will exclusively pack AMD's latest mobile graphics card.

Citing the state of the GPU market, continued use of AMD GPUs seems inevitable with the Polaris"-series chip seemingly obvious for the imminent MacBook Pro.

As far as the comparatively affordable 15-inch models and 13-inch builds are concerned, they are likely to be powered by the combination of Intel Skylake and the chipset's integrated graphics. Apple reportedly opted for Skylake as Kaby Lake is unlikely to be ready for the MacBook Pro specifications in near future. And Apple is understandably unwilling to further postpone the already delayed upgrades for the MacBook Pro.

When it comes to choosing integrated graphics for most of the MacBook Pro 2016 models, the Cupertino-based tech giant seem to head towards the right direction. Integrated graphics chipsets are more advanced, and pack higher performance than ever. Moreover, benefits in power consumption for leaving out a dedicated GPU are undeniable.

If rumors doing rounds proved to be true, Apple might just roll out the MacBook Pro 2016 along with the iPhone 7 in September, however MacWorld claims such a scenario is highly unlikely.

The impending MBPs are rumored to pack an array of awe-inspiring upgrades including renamed MacOS Sierra, ultra-slim build and design, Touch ID-enabled power button, OLED touch bar, Apple Pencil support and Siri for Mac.

MacBook Pro 2016 is rumored to be unveiled by late September or sometime in October with the actual release date happening no later than November.
