There's no such thing as permanent - the same principle is applied to the world of gaming and one best example is the augmented reality (AR) game Pokemon GO. Through a poll conducted and participated by most of the popular game app players, it was revealed that Pokemon GO will come to end in 2017.

Nintendo Life conducted a poll in their page targeting players as respondent to answer the question: "Do you think you'll still be playing Pokemon GO at the end of the year?" Out of 2,639 votes, 24 percent says that they're most likely to play and the game is engaging enough to keep them interested. Moreover, 13 percent of the total votes said that they already got bored with the game despite the upgrades on the gameplay. By just looking at the figures, a nine percent disparity between the interested ones and the bored ones is quite alarming.

Niantic has eventually put on a lot of upgrades to Pokemon GO since the time of its release. However, despite all of the upgrades, players began to felt that it was already too boring and time consuming to catch little monsters around. According to Nintendo Life, a writer and an avid player of Pokemon GO said "this is starting to get a little mundane" referring to the game app.

Unprecedented level of gaming addiction has led to series of accidents caused by playing Pokemon GO where players roam around the vicinity to catch little monsters. The widespread popularity of the game has received criticisms due to the reported misfortunes met by the players. Just July this year, a Toyota RAV4 has been reported by BGR rammed straight to a police car. According to the driver, he admitted that he was distracted because of playing Pokemon GO. In an interview, the driver called the popular game app a "dumbass game".
