For the first time in four years, Apple MacBook Pro will receive a major overhaul that will surely outshine the previous models. The new laptop is said to be thinner and slimmer than current models, upgraded ports and powerful graphic chips.

Apple has exceeded the average daily upgrading duration of 350 days. The last update made in MacBook Air was in last March 2015 that sums up to 520 days. It is speculated that this is the reason why they opted to have major overhaul on the upcoming models of MacBook Pro.

According to Fortune, the overhauled MacBook Pro will replace dedicated function buttons with touch screen located above the keyboard and built-in USB-C type compatibility for efficient file transfer. Advanced Micro Devices Inc. or AMD Polaris is rumored to power the graphic processor. Also, a new Mac Operating System called Sierra is expected with features such as photo management and new-messaging, profound iCloud integration and file storage that are efficient. Sierra will also bring out everyone's companion, Siri. 

On the other hand, according to sources cited by Bloomberg, Apple has not yet confirmed as to who will be the provider for the main processor but speculations are it Intel Corporation has the highest possibility for getting the deal since they supplied the previous laptops.

It is also speculated that the inclusion of fingerprint scanners will be the most notable and significant change in the new upcoming laptop. The fingerprint scanner enables the user to log in a fast and quick manner. Through this technology, Apple pay purchases made by the user can also be authenticated for security concerns. 

It's worth mentioning that the last upgrade made to MacBook Pro was in 2012 when they added retina display as one of the most significant changes. Minor changes came after that such as faster Wi-Fi, built-in force-touch trackpad and faster processors.
