Xiaomi just released another budget smartphone, the Redmi Note 3. The all-metal chassis gives the phone a gorgeous appearance. Let's check out the specs!

Also known as the Redmi Note 3 Pro, the phablet sports 5.5 inch display Full HD with 1080 x 1920 pixels and 403 ppi pixel density, GSM Arena wrote. It supports dual SIM ((Micro-SIM/Nano-SIM). Redmi Note 3 runs Android Lollipop with Snapdragon 650 chipset (MediaTek Helio X10 for China).

Below its 16 MP of rear camera, lies the fingerprint sensor. The sensor works well to unlock the phone with a single touch. It quickly recognizes the fingerprint pattern in 0.3 seconds.

The camera features dual LED flash and phase detection autofocus. The selfie shooter offers 5 MP. Of course, it's nowhere near the quality of Samsung Galaxy S6 but it captures pretty decent images.

There are two RAM options, the 2GB is paired with 16 GB internal storage whilst the 3 GB is paired with 32 GB internal storage. Xiaomi makes a huge leap in the battery capacity by equipping the Redmi Note 3 with 4,000 mAh and fast charging feature. For the record, the smartphone maker gives Note 2, 3060 mAh battery cell. Xiaomi claims that the non-removable battery can provide you more than a day of usage.

Things to note about Xiaomi Redmi Note 3

There are downsides of the flagship. One of them is the absence of microSD card slot. This means, Xiaomi does not allow any expansion for the storage. Note 3 is equipped with old micro USB port.

People expect Redmi Note 3 would be IP68 certified but apparently Xiaomi does not bother to give the smartphone the water resistant feature.
