In April 2016, the electronics company Nintendo publicized the release date for the upcoming new NX games console as March 2017.

The upcoming gaming console of Nintendo will receive new Mario and Pokemon games within six months of launch. It is claimed that the Nintendo NX would be revealed during the Tokyo Games Show, which starts on September 15, 2016.

Nintendo said in a statement that the company previously made it known to the public that it would release more information about its next system this year, which is dubbed as NX. Nintendo firmly established that NX is slated to fire up in March 2017.

The gaming console of Nintendo did not appear at the E3 video game trade show in Los Angeles last June, but will be unveiled later in 2016, according to PC Advisor.

However, Nintendo reportedly has secured a third-party support from prestigious publishers such as Activision, Ubisoft, Square Enix, Sega and Warner Bros. in order to have more titles to come along with the system.

It's unclear which of the franchises will make the transition to the NX, but it's very different from the Wii U, which drift away from the major third-party backing early on, Express reported.

Notably, the reports surfaced claiming that the NX will be a handheld console hybrid, with the device will have a distinctive attribute of a detachable controllers and a way for the device be taken on-the-go or connected to a television, based on the report of UPI.

In addition, Nintendo had previously announced that the high-fantasy action-adventure video game "The Legend of Zelda" for the Wii U wouldn't be coming out until 2016, which leads to speculations that the company was waiting to announce Zelda so that both the game and the NX console could be released together.

And other reports claimed that NX will be able to handle mobile games like "Miitomo" and "Animal Crossing."
