Ana and McCree, the two main characters of Overwatch have evolved in the new patch for the Windows PC version of the game as released by Blizzard earlier today. Ana's character has boosted while McCree has been demoted as he became less effective at a longer range.

Since the launching of Ana's character last week, her appearance to a number of matches has become more visible thus Blizzard decided to give her character a buff to address her overall weakness. Hence, her Biotic Riffle firing rate has an increase of 20% and holds up to 10 rounds from eight. A forum post quoted the statement of Blizzard that says, "In addition to helping her feel better to play, these changes should also increase her healing and damage output." However, there's a 0.5 second delay of recovery from her sleep darts if damaged.

On the other hand, McCree welcomed a big change for his character. Dubbed as the must-pick character, McCree's primary fire damaged has falloff range, while 15 percent is added to its alternate fire rate. But the good news is, after throwing his flashbang, his fast recovery follows.

 "McCree's latest range increase helped him quite a bit, but it was a bit too much in the right hands", Blizzard in its patch notes said. "This change weakens his long range damage somewhat, but still keeps it stronger than it has been in the recent past. The other changes combine to allow him to land more alternate shots on targets that he has hit with Flashbang," they added.

Aside from the changes in the characters, the latest patch has fixing bug for character rendering and UI compatibility issue for ATI cards. Meanwhile, the latest Overwatch update is only available for Windows PC version. PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions will be rolled into one update that players need to watch out for!
