University of Florida Linebacker and Sports Icon, Christian Garcia becomes an overnight hero when he prevented imminent sexual assault behind the bar that he is working at. The suspect was identified as Mark Shaw, 34, alongside a band of sexual assault battery accomplices and was believed to have committed the crime more than once!

The Gators Football linebacker Christian Garcia, a Miami-native played in a game last year and eventually garnered nods from coaches and fans, FCN reported.

He was already even claimed to be a man of integrity and respect.

All these claim about had just been solidified when he witnessed the assault at 101 Cantina where he happened to be working, Fox 59 reported.

Garcia stated that in an interview that he was about to dispose of a garbage in trash bin located behind the bar when he witnessed a couple having sex.

When he looked further, he noticed that the woman was unconscious. From whence, he began to doubt.

Further strengthening his doubts of a crime is the group of other spectators videotaping the incident, believed to be Shaw's friends, who did nothing to stop the imminent rape.

Immediately, with another witness, Garcia cried foul and prevented the rape incident right after contacting police authorities, Fox 59 again reported.

It did not go easy on Garcia for he eventually earned violent punches from the suspect, Shaw, Total Pro Sports reported.

Garcia stated that he was obliged to do everything he could to stop such assault for it was unjust for people to fall victim under such circumstances.

During the investigation, it was found out that the victim's age is 19.

Further investigation is on the way as of how the woman exactly fell under the hands of Shaw.

Garcia was not spared from loud UF teammate's praises of course and is on-call for possible University courtesy call, Total Pro Sports again reported.
