The release date of Bandai Namco's "Tekken 7" is set in early 2017 for PC and consoles, such as PlayStation 4, as well as Xbox One. The game developers revealed that they are considering crossplay between the gaming platforms.

Katsuhiro Harada, game producer and director at Bandai Namco, revealed that the game could be launched early of next year. Harada, along with his team at the studios, are considering to allow players on different gaming platforms to pit against each other in the fighting game, GamingBolt reported.

Harada was adamant that the feature could be developed before the game's launch date. The game director has stated that his team at the studios already have an idea on how to tackle the feat.

The game developers also cited that they are looking to suppress, or may it even be eliminate, rampant cheating on the PC, as it is relatively easier done on a computer versus consoles.

"Tekken 7" is set to feature about 30 characters, as well as a cross-over from "Street Fighter's" Akuma. The game developers that new moves are implemeted in the game, along with new battle mechanics such as Rage Arts, Power Crushes, and Rage Drivers, PlayStation Lifestyle reported.

The game developers have stated that the inclusion of new moves and battle mechanics are to accommodate players from all skill levels. The new installment to the fighting game series would still showcase cinematic story sequences, as it has come to be known.
