A slew of recently leaked images have revealed what looks like the casing of the much-awaited MacBook Pro 2016, and also bring to light an all-new function bar that replaces the classic functions key. The purported function bar will reportedly enable users to add more customized commands.

The leaked images cements the entry of the long rumored OLED touch bar, placed right above the keyboard of the looming MacBook Pro 2016. If rumors turn to be true, this would replace the conventional set of function keys. The purported OLED touch bar will boast a set of customizable commands, contrary to the existing function keys that can only feature limited set of commands,  VineReport reported.

The MacBook Pro 2016 comes with multiple USB Type-C ports, which allow users to connect an array of new devices that work well with the reversible USB technology. But that's not all, speculations also indicate that the new version of MacBook Pro will also sport a Thunderbolt 3 port.

As far as the operating system the MacBook Pro 2016 will boot on is concerned, rumors have indicated that a brand new version of software that runs Apple computers - basically a rebranded MacOS will be unveiled. If the speculation prove to be true, the MacBook Pro 2016 will probably boot on this rumored OS.

According to KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, MacBook Pro 2016 will be unveiled in two variants: 1) 13-inch variant and 2) 15-inch variant, MacRumors reported.

Several tech publications have reported that the MacBook Pro 2016 is slated to debut in the fall this year. Apple will take the wraps off the new device during WWDC (Worldwide Developers Conference) from June 13 to June 17. Preorders will start immediately after the unveiling.

Few rumors, on the other hand claim the Cupertino-based tech giant might opt not to make any hardware related announcement during the WWDC, but instead, lay more emphasis on software related news and updates. There have been an array of anticipated updates regarding this aspect - for instance, the rumored iOS 10.

In addition to a slew of other awe-inspiring features, iOS 10 will reportedly boast a function that allow users to tuck away nonessential default apps from their home screen. The iOS 10 is the version of Apple's software that the imminent iPhone 7 will run on, aside from other Apple devices that rumors hint will debut in 2016 - including the iPad Mini 5 or iPad Air 3.
