Naesean Howard, a former football player for Syracuse University, is jailed after stabbing two teammates with a pocket knife. The two victims, Corey Winfield and Chauncey Scissum, were injured after being stabbed multiple times on the chest on Saturday night.

Both defensive backs were hospitalized at the Upstate University Hospital for recovery. The 21-year-old athletes are reported to suffer no serious injuries. However, the reason of the incident occurred in the university housing is still unrevealed.

20-year-old Howard, who is charged with second degree assault, was a dropout from the university after being fired from the football team. He then enrolled back in January 2016. The West Genesee High School graduate is also charged with fourth degree criminal possession of a weapon.

The incident of the Orange players stabbing has led a stream of supports from students in Syracuse University.

The Syracuse official site confirmed that Winfield is in a good condition and has been released as the hospital’s spokeperson made a statement. The St. Louis Mo. Native also took time to reply supports mentioned on his Twitter account.

Meanwhile, Scissum is still being treated in the hospital for observation but said to have a stable condition. Being reached out for comment, Arthur Scissum, the athlete's father, confirmed that his son will soon get back on track.

The University's senior vice president for public affairs makes an official announcement, stating his support to the victims and making safety as a top priority in the campus. The NYTimes reported that Howard pleads not guilty as Ross Andrews, City Court Judge, entering the plea for him.
