Chris Martin Hints At Rocky Marriage 14 Months Ago

By

Oscar-winning actress Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin, the lead singer of the alternative rock band Coldplay confirmed on Tuesday that they are separating after 10 years of marriage, The Daily Mirror reported.

However, it is being suggested that Martin dropped a huge hint that his decade-long union with Paltrow was on the rocks when he revealed to TMZ that his favorite hit by the Rolling Stones was "She's So Cold."

Back in January 2013 - around the time he and Paltrow are said to have started working on trying to save their marriage -TMZ caught up with Martin in Santa Monica, Calif. And asked him to which rolling Stones song he favored, he immediately replied "She's So Cold."

The speed of his response and the lyrics to the hit song is "pretty telling," TMZ reported.

The song features the lyrics:

- "Yes, I tried re-wiring her, tried re- firing her ... I think her engine is permanently stalled

- "She was born in an arctic zone"
- "And when I touch her my hand just froze"

However, the hit song also features the words: "I'm so hot for her, I'm on fire for her ... I'm so hot for her and she's so cold."

The couple had been long dogged by rumors their marriage was in trouble, according to The Daily Mirror.

Paltrow told Self Magazine her relationship had been testing at times.

"Dealing with things directly changed my relationships. Sometimes when you get clear about who you are, others get less comfortable because they liked who you were," she said. "It's changed my marriage, too, but he's up for the challenge."

The couple broke the news on Paltrow's Goop lifestyle website.

"It is with hearts full of sadness that we have decided to separate," the couple announced. "We have been working hard for well over a year, some of it together, some of it separated, to see what might have been possible between us, and we have come to the conclusion that while we love each other very much we will remain separate."

Shortly after posting this, the website crashed.
