Microsoft CEO Reveals Xbox Live As Biggest Gaming Social Network

Microsoft chief executive officer Satya Nadella discussed about the company's gaming business during the recent Financial Analyst Briefing 2017 in Seattle. She revealed that gaming is one of the first places where the company brought all of its assets together. She said that gaming is a much broader thing than just Xbox business, Gaming Bolt reported.

Nadella revealed that the Xbox Live feature is the biggest gaming social network today. She also clarified that it monetizes way better compared to other gaming social networks in the market currently.

The Microsoft CEO said that Xbox Live is now available on both Xbox One and PC, and using one social network to link both user bases is a big advantage. She revealed new upcoming business models like subscriptions with Xbox Game Pass. She also revealed that getting the Beam streaming service is a big boon for them because it is not just about playing the game, but it is also about watching it, Dual Shockers reported.

Microsoft CEO Discusses Streaming Advantages

Nadella said that making every PC unit into a broadcast station, and increasing the reach of what people do while they play a game is a big advantage. She also discussed that streaming is now going beyond games like to art, science projects, development, and many more. She said that this is the way of connecting the dots around gaming, and linking it to other new forms of expression through the social network.

Microsoft Promises Mixed Reality Games At E3 2017

In other Microsoft related news, the game company recently revealed its Mixed Reality initiative, and they also revealed two new headsets and a motion controller. Alex Kipman gave a hint that there will be more about actual games at E3 2017. He promised that there will be windows mixed reality content story at the event soon, Dual Shockers reported in another post.
