Apple Watch Series 3 With A Major Update Launches In September, Device Rolls Out Along iPhone 8 [VIDEO]

Apple is expected to unveil its much awaited Apple Watch Series 3 in September 2017. The Apple Watch Series 3 is said to roll out with the tech giant's 2017 flagship device, the iPhone 8.

The Apple Watch Series 3 is not only expected to go head to head with smartwatches from LG and Samsung, but also with fitness tracker. The Apple Watch Series 3 is anticipated to have a food nutrition tracking feature, a feature which could set Apple's upcoming device from its predecessors.

Nonetheless, the Cupertino based tech giant has acquired a small firm named Beddit, a company that creates a sleep-tracking apps for Apple's iPhone. Although the tech company didn't announce the purchase, the Privacy Policy of Beddit lets it slip, CNBC reported.

Apple's acquisition of Beddit is expected to bring enhanced features, such as heart rate analysis, respiratory rate and sleep analysis to the Apple Watch Series 3. Apple Watch owners can access these features from the Apple HealthKit app.

The tech company's most recent Apple Watch 2 is not available with a sleep-tracking function, but the device has a handful of third-party apps that it offers. It will be interesting to see how the Cupertino based tech giant implements the technology of the Finnish company Beddit to the Apple Watch Series 3, especially since the focal point of the Finnish firm is on a sleep-tracking method, dubbed as ballistocardiography, Trusted Reviews reported.

Nevertheless, in addition to the improved display of the Apple Watch Series 3, the device is expected to come along with a hardware-based features such as a built-in camera and a smart band. The Apple Watch 3 could have a smart fabric wristband, which will show the date, weather, time, and other notifications. The built-in camera of the Apple Watch Series 3 could be utilized for facial recognition, Market Exclusive reported.
