Texas Tech University Makes Top Colleges List For International Students [Video]

Texas Tech joined 239 international colleges and universities in the list of top 20 percent of schools accepting international students. The list was released by College Factual rankings after evaluating more than 1,200 colleges and universities in the US.

Currently, Texas Tech has an enrollment of 3,100 students coming from 120 countries all over the world. Factors considered in the ranking were educational resources, quality of student body, retention rate and degree completion rate. International students at Texas Tech University are given easy access to several services such as financial aid and assistance with their immigrant status, the Daily To Reader reported.

The university has been exerting efforts to attract more students from other countries. Recruitment procedure has been enhanced and services relevant to international students have been greatly improved. International students have been made welcome by the university.

The College Factual ranking result is released every year. It guided international students in selecting where to enroll in the United States.

Aside from being included in the top 20 percent among colleges and universities for international students, Texas Tech holds several titles. It was ranked 176th among all universities in the US, 94th in Business Programs and 84th in engineering doctorate programs. It has several research centers and institutes, the most notable of which is the National Wind Institute, the U.S. News reported.

The high ranking it received from the College Factual ranking added to its value as an educational institution for international students.

The university offers excellent services in the campus. Students are offered health insurance and health services. Placement programs are available t assist students in finding jobs.

The administration has established safety and security measures for all students. Alcohol is never allowed in the campus. There are guards on foot patrolling the area 24 hours each day. The lighted pathways and sidewalks keep the campus safe at night.
