The Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus were unveiled late last month and the Android smartphones are set to roll out in less than two weeks. Samsung's latest devices are now available to pre-order. The Galaxy S8 and S8+ pre-orders are up significantly compared last year.

Samsung's Galaxy S8 pre-orders have started. After the issues that dogged the Samsung Galaxy Note 7, tech fans appear to be sending a clear message that they're sticking with Samsung. Wherein, the early pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus are up than the Galaxy S7 and S7 Plus, Axios reported.

A Samsung rep said in a statement that the U.S. pre-orders for the its Galaxy S8 Android smartphone had strong double digit growth in pre-order numbers than the Galaxy S7 series. The Samsung rep's statement also noted that most pre-orders have been for its Galaxy S8 Plus.

While the South Korean tech giant did not confirm the exact numbers for the Galaxy S8 U.S. pre-orders, Samsung's latest device has spotted strong early sales performance elsewhere since pre-orders kicked off. In South Korea, more than 550,000 pre-orders have been initiated for the Galaxy S8 in only two days, while the Samsung Galaxy S7 only had 100,000 pre-orders in the same time period.

The Galaxy S8 seems bound to be the tech company's most popular Android handset ever. The Galaxy S8 even beat out the pre-order figures of the Galaxy Note 7, Droid Life reported.

Nevertheless, the buying decision will eventually depend on what tech fans would be looking for. Though packed with new specs, the fact remains that the Galaxy S7 Edge comes along with several impressive features that should suffice for now. In spite of that, the only thing that the Galaxy S8 could stand out is the fact the device is the latest one in the market.
