MacBook Pro 32GB configuration is possible with Intel's new architecture Cannon Lake. However, loyal Apple fans may have to wait for another year to lay their hands on the new MacBook Pro since Intel will start shipping Cannon Lake chips before the year ends or early next year. On this regard, Apple is seen dumping off Kaby Lake and AMD Ryzen.

The fate of MacBook Pro with 32GB of RAM could possibly be twisted when Intel reveals their plan to start shipping Cannon Lake chips before the end of the year or the early months of 2018. Fortunately, Apple does not plan to manufacture the said MacBook Pro RAM configuration in a short period of time; thus, coinciding with Intel's timeline.

Leveraging the performance of the previous laptop is not only the goal of the 10-nanometer process Cannon Lake. It also aims to trim down power consumption; thus, saving the battery of Apple's most portable machine, Apple Insider reported.

On the other hand, Apple is seen ditching Intel Kaby Lake and AMD Ryzen for the MacBook Pro 32GB configuration since the two does not support LPDDR4, the power-hungry 32GB RAM controller. However, Kaby Lake appears to be the best option for MacBook Pro 2017 versions because of its onboard GPU and power efficiency improvement.

Speaking about GPU, external GPUs for underpowered MacBook Pro is currently making headlines. Laptop users have reportedly discovered that external GPUs can turn a slacking MacBook Pro into a powerful machine, BGR reported.

While the solution has advantages, it also comes with a fair share of disadvantages such as splurging extra amount for the GPU but is not advisable to use when travelling. However, on the lighter note, Apple assures the users to acknowledge their efforts by not blocking the said act on the future Sierra updates.

Meanwhile, MacBook Pro 32GB configuration and proprietary GPU are two of the most awaited innovations from Apple for 2017. Surely, the Cupertino giant is on its way towards controlling its own destiny.
