Android 7.0 Nougat rolls out to these smartphones

Huawei Honor 6X reportedly receives Android 7.0 Nougat update but the rollout is done in batches. Thus, not all users will be getting the notification at the same day it's released. The OTA update requires 259 MB of space.

HTC One M9 owners who use T-Mobile can finally experience Android 7.0 Nougat on their devices as the carrier has confirmed the rollout in the United States. A few users took screenshot of their mobile phone rocking the new software along with a notification that suggests a 1.09 GB space is required.

Meanwhile, Samsung has been rolling out the Nougat update for its devices starting with Galaxy S7 awhile back. A number of Canada carriers namely Freedom Mobile, Bell, Virgin Mobile and EastLink have reportedly updated their S7 series to Nougat. Currently, Galaxy S6 Edge Plus in Turkey has been updated to Android 7.0 Nougat, according to Android Authority.

The rollout is actually a delayed schedule as it's supposedly happening on March 14. To recall, Galaxy Note 5 received the latest firmware last week. For Galaxy S6 Edge Plus, users need to prepare around 1.3 gigs of storage for the update.

China's Mi 5 has also been updated to Android 7.0 Nougat via MIUI 8.2, according to The Mobile Indian. This means that Xiaomi is ahead of Huawei as the update for P9 Lite is reportedly delayed. However, the handset has been included in the Beta program and is expected to receive the firmware in Q2 2017.

Android 7.0 Nougat brings more enhancements to the devices, including, split-screen mode, new Quick Windows, new notification order and Doze for battery saving.
