Google Pixel 2 Latest Bizarre Leak Reveals A Galaxy Note Contender

The crowds have heard about Walleye and Muskie but now they are getting a new leak that suggests the Pixel 2 is so much better in every way.

Google Pixel 2: The Story So Far

According to the latest piece of evidence, Google will go big for Pixel 2. The third codename, Taimen, shows up online and gets the fans excited about how big it could be. In term of weigh, Forbes learned from a familiar source that Taimen will be 220 lbs smartphone. It is still unclear whether one of the devices will be a phablet that takes on Samsung Galaxy Note.

However, it is interesting to see Google Pixel 2 pitted against Samsung Galaxy Note 8 or the upcoming iPhone 8. To put into perspective, Galaxy Note 7 was a 5.7-inch smartphone and iPhone 7 Plus goes big with 5.5 inches. According to Trusted Reviews, the XL model could be a 5.9-inch smartphone like Huawei Mate 9. Based on the leaked weight - Taimen has a chance to be a device as big as 6 inches. The media outlet makes a few verdicts on the upcoming flagship's features, such as a fast Snapdragon 835 chip, a whopping 4 gigs of RAM, a water-resistant chassis and Quick Charge 4.0.

It can be argued that the next Pixel 2 XXL should also fit the premium category as Rick Osterloh has mentioned before. Specs-wise, the next big Pixel could run Android O out of the box with its outward appearance looking sleek as the bezels get slimmer and the display gets larger, Tech News Inc reported.

Google Pixel 2 Release Date

The next-gen Pixel smartphones are expected to debut sometime in October 2017. This will be a festive event since iPhone 8 is expected around the same time. Tech geeks will be indulged with all of the choices in premium class but there will be one winner that's better value for money.

Do you think Pixel 2 will be on par to iPhone 8 or Galaxy Note 8?
