Huawei, Google Reportedly Seals the Deal for Nexus 7 Tablet to Be Launched in Google I/O [VIDEO]

Google has reportedly started sending out invites for the upcoming Google I/O event on May. Netizens are expecting to see new software and hardware but what makes everyone excited is the possibility of Nexus 7 unveiling during the event dragging the name of Huawei as the potential partner OEM of Google.

Nexus 7 Unveiling Reportedly Taking Place During Google I/O Event

Specs and features of the most anticipated Nexus 7 tablet have surface the internet since 2016. This year, the latest update is referring to the device's possible unveiling during Google I/O event on May alongside the new Android version, Android Wear wearables, VR headset, Security (encryption) and many others.

As a matter of fact, recent rumors suggest that Nexus 7 has long been ready for its launching but Google decided to delay the schedule to be able for the customers to focus on Google Pixel phones, Gigjets reported.  Another rumored reason for the delay is the reported dispute between Google and Huawei regarding the branding that started when Google apprised not to consider putting Huawei's logo in the device.

Google's disagreement with Huawei has led to another speculation that the search giant has negotiated with HTC for the device's manufacturing. However, this claim remains unconfirmed; thus, Nexus 7 fans are advised to wait for the official announcement from Google.

What to Expect from Google I/O Event?

This year's Google I/O event is expected to be more diverse when it comes to software and hardware components. The launching of the next version of Android OS which is presumed as "Oreo" is the most anticipated one during the event.

Furthermore, Google is also expected to unveil some surprises on hardware most especially in the field of Virtual Reality. The search giant is also bound to introduce new Android Wear wearables, Security features such as encryption, cloud platform and to express their intent in getting through the consumer's living room through Chromecast, Google Home and Android TV, Android Central reported.
