The new update for the Android Wear 2.0, which is Google's biggest update for the smartwatch operating system, got smartwatch enthusiasts excited with the new features it will come along to the wearable gadget. The latest Android Wear 2.0 update is also expected to provide tough competition to Apple's new Watch Series 2.

The Google Assistant is among the Android Wear 2.0 update major upgrades, a digital assistant that resembles Amazon's Alexa and Apple's Siri. The Google Assistant feature was initially launched to the Google's Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones. With the Google Assistant feature installed, users can make a response to messages as well as ask for directions. The Android Wear users can also set reminders on their devices and search on the Internet, according to Daily Star.

This new Android Wear 2.0 update rolled out along with the launching of the of two new devices, the LG Watch Style and the LG Watch Sport. The smartwatches provide power and style to smartwatch enthusiasts who are particular on both design and functionality.

Meanwhile, the Apple Watch Series 2 has received positive reviews due to its GPS chip and improved performance. Apple recently hit on YouTube to share the Apple Watch Series 2 new ad. The ad focuses on Activity and is dubbed as Close Your Rings. The fast-paced, 15-second ad of the Apple Watch Series 2 opens with slow-mo footage of Apple's smartwatch users doing various tasks to fill their Activity rings, Apple Insider reported.

Nevertheless, with the latest Apple Watch Series 2, the tech company is placing an intense marketing that focuses on fitness and health. The tech giant also collaborated with Nike to manufacture the Apple Watch Nike+ edition, wherein the device comes along with a preloaded Nike software and a special sports band.
