College Football Bowl Game Predictions: 5 Matchups You Will Not Want to Miss

By

Bowl season is here for college football, giving us all matchups we may not get to see in regular season play and with the set of games comes everyone's guesses ay who will win which game.

The following are five bowl games, selected from the full lineup that can be found here, and predicted outcomes for each.

Chick-fil-A Bowl, airing on ESPN

Who is playing: Duke Blue Devils (24) vs. Texas A&M Aggies (21)

When: Tues. Dec. 31, 8 p.m.

Who will win: Texas A&M, but by a slim margin. The Aggies defense is porous at best, but Johnny Manziel leads a high-powered offense. He may have his nicks and bruises, but Manziel and the Aggies are battle-tested with a tough SEC schedule.

Final: A&M: 38 - Duke: 35

Vizio Rose Bowl Game, airing on ESPN

Who is playing: Stanford Cardinal (5) vs. Michigan State Spartans (4)

When: Wed. Jan. 1, 5 p.m.

Who will win: Stanford will win by six in a matchup that features two outstanding defenses, strong coaching on both sides and solid quarterbacks for both teams. I give Stanford the edge because of their superior run game.

Final: Stanford: 20 - Michigan State: 14

AT&T Cotton Bowl, airing on FOX

Who is playing: Oklahoma State Cowboys (13) vs. Missouri Tigers (8)

When: Fri. Jan. 3, 7 p.m.

Who will win: Missouri will win by one touchdown because their offense has put up better, more well-rounded numbers in a tougher conference. Missouri's only blemishes this year are losses to South Carolina and Auburn in the SEC Championship.

Final: Oklahoma State: 27 - Missouri: 34

Discover Orange Bowl, airing on ESPN

Who is playing: Clemson Tigers (12) vs. Ohio State Buckeyes (7)

When: Fri. Jan. 3, 8:30 p.m.

Who will win: Ohio State will win pretty handily with a relentless rushing attack and staunch defense. Clemson has struggled this year against tough defenses and Ohio State's is no different. Clemson only lost twice this year, but they were against South Carolina and Florida State. Ohio State's strong run game and defense will give Clemson problems all night long.

Final: Clemson: 20 - Ohio State: 38

Vizio BCS National Championship, airing on ESPN

Who is playing: Auburn Tigers (2) vs. Florida State Seminoles (1)

When: Mon. Jan. 6, 8:30 p.m.

Who will win: Florida State will take home the crystal football and Jameis Winston will cap off his incredible freshman season. While Auburn has proven they can run the ball on anyone, Winston appears able to throw the ball against anyone.

Florida State's defense has allowed the fewest points per game in the nation and their offense has posted the most points per game, but the Seminoles have benefitted from an easy schedule in the ACC. Auburn's running game has overcome the quarterback play of some of the SEC's finest, but Winston is a new challenge altogether.

With the game on the line, both my head and my heart say to go with Winston instead of Auburn's running backs.

Final: Auburn: 38 - Florida State: 45
