GTX 1080 Ti Performance could be Slower than Vega Card with 25% of Improvements; Expect Launch at E3

GTX 1080 Ti is expected to bring massive improvements and it should face a competition from AMD Vega 10, as many have reported. How will Nvidia equip its GTX 1080 Ti? Here's what you need to know!

Price-wise, many reports have hinted at a price between $600 and $1200 for GTX 1080 Ti. As a top-tier graphics card, Nvidia would want it to compete head-to-head with AMD's latest GPU with Vega architecture.

However, numbers of analysis have claimed that the Ti model will have a 25 percent of improvements but still lower than the Titan XP due to the lack in CUDA cores. On the other hand, Vega-10 card is closer to Titan with its 25 TFLOPS, according to PC Gamer.

Specs-wise the GTX 1080 Ti will give enough value to power a 4K gaming at more affordable price than what AMD might offer with its Vega. The Ti version could come equipped with GDDR5 348 bit memory bandwidth instead of GDDR5x according to Mobipicker.

Regardless of how affordable and how superior GTX 1080 Ti can be, gamers are more excited to find out about the new architecture brought by AMD with its Vega. AMD is expected to launch its Vega card in 1H 2017 after it confirmed to investors.

The first half of 2017 hosts a lot of events starting from MWC, PAX and E3. According to familiar sources, the likelihood for both graphics card launch could be close to each other, with the most probable introduction happening in May or June.

As a reminder, Nvidia showed off new VR and gaming technology at its E3 booth last year. Hence, it is safe to assume that the company will be making huge announcements at the electronic expo this year.
