Nexus 6 Phone and Nexus 9 Tablet Won't Get Android 7.1.2

It's sad news for the owners of the two most notable models the Nexus 6 and Nexus 9 as Google confirmed in e-mail about ceasing their support for the two mentioned devices. According to CNET, since the two devices were more than two years already, that made them out of from Google's two-year update guarantee but the security patches still continues.

On the other hand, the same fate is also expected from Nexus 5S and Nexus 6P one year from now that would mark the end of Nexus era. Since Google is distancing itself from the old phones, the search giant is expected to take the pure Android experience to the next level through the newly launch brand Google Pixel.
