First-time attendee to the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) Xiaomi presented an Ultra-Slim Xiaomi Mi TV 4 with a host of features that are drool worthy for under $2,000, but it will not be sold just yet in the US.

Taking the stage at CES 2017 for the first time, Xiaomi's first stint quickly became obvious that presenting the concept Mi Mix handset was at the top of its list. Alongside this, the company also unveiled its Mi Router HD touted to be a global-class wireless router that sports smart features. However, the biggest star was the unveiling of the new Xiaomi Mi TV 4, PC Advisor reported.

Introducing the Xiaomi Mi TV 4 at CES 2017

Xiaomi Mi TV 4 is an ultra-slim, frameless smart TV that is reported to support an AI system with a set of speakers that is reportedly less than $2,000. According to The Verge, the TV is a high-end set featuring a surprisingly thin frame at only 4.9mm, with virtually no bezel, and modular.

Its modular feature is not much different from that offered by the LG W7 also presented during the press day of CES 2017. The screen panel of the Xiaomi Mi TV 4 is separated from the rest of the electronics.

Its modular design makes it easy for customers to swap the internal components when they want to upgrade to have HDR or any other future upgrades without having to replace the entire TV. All its driving components are housed in the soundbar that has all its ports and connects to the TV display with just one cable that carries all signals.

Additionally, the Mi TV 4 features software it calls "Patch Wall" said to be an AI system that can theoretically predict and suggest content based on what its user has previously watched. The soundbar, which also houses its electronics, reportedly has 10 speakers, two wireless speakers, a subwoofer and it has support for Dolby Atmos surround sound.

The largest screen size at 65-inches of the Xiaomi Mi TV 4 will sell for under $2,000 including the full soundbar setup in China later within the year. Accordingly, 59-inch and 49-inch models will be available. The company has yet to confirm when the Xiaomi Mi TV 4 will be available in the United States.
