‘Lone Survivor’ Game: Most Unnerving Horror Game; Survive With Strategies, Controls, Maps, & More

By

The post-apocalyptic survival horror game with retro-styled 2D graphics is seizing the minds of game critics and bloggers, branding it as the most unnerving survival horror game to date. Originally a PC game, "Lone Survivor" now jumped onto the PlayStation 4 even hooking more people to the brilliance of this nerve-wracking and brilliantly entertaining game.

The game sees its physical release for Vita and PS4 in 2014 on its "Lone Survivor: Director's Cut" extended edition creeping out more of the gamer's imagination and lightweight frights. Reviews noted about the benefits the game has in Sony's handheld device claiming that it touches intimacy and movement as it also gives spatial immersion not felt with a keyboard.

According to IGN, part of the reason "Lone Survivor" works so well is that each playthrough yields different results, even if multiple playthroughs reveal a whiff of linearity that never quite taints the first adventure. Play Station also featured "Lone Survivor: Director's Cut" a new kind of adventure where the choice to survive is up to the players ability to sneak through without firing a single shot, or kill everything in the path.

Odd but because of the game's ambiance eerie effect, it looks into the mental health of the player or the possibility of it to descend into madness. Reports added that the extended edition gives a deep story with hundreds of tiny new details, more locations, more dialogue, more side quests, more craftable items, and even two completely new endings.

Gamefaqs walkthrough players with guides on how to survive accompanied by script wherever a noticeable and notable amount appears within the game. It also features maps included for easy reference. Game controls are also featured such as Start-Up, In-Game, All Times, Inventory, and Maps.

For In-Game, controls and functions are as follows: Up Arrow- Move up, Aim Up (If Handgun is drawn); Down Arrow- Move down, Aim Down (if Handgun is drawn); Left Arrow- Move left; Righ Arrow- Move right; X- Interact/ Use Select Highlighted Option/ Shoot (if Handgun is drawn); C- Draws/ puts away Handgun; R- Reloads Handgun; F- Turns Flashlight on/off; M-Opens/ closes Map; Enter- Opens/ closes Map; Spacebar- Opens/clothes Inventory; 1-Uses Flare; 2- Uses Rotting Meats; 3- Uses Health Tonic, and Escape- Quits Game (After verification).

All Times control and functions also include P- Pauses/unpauses game; A- Decreases Gamma; S-Increases Gamma; Q-Decreases Aspect Ratio; W-Increases Aspect Ratio; and E-Turns Expert Mode On/Off. More controls and strategies are all divulged in Gamefaqs specifically in going about wing by wing inside the apartment.

Since "Lone Survivor" is a psychological horror game, these controls and strategies will surely help combat players' insanity.
