‘John Wick: Chapter 2’ Retains Innovative Fight Choreography; 2nd Trailer Intense

By

Legendary hit man John Wick, portrayed by no less than A-list actor Keanu Reeves hovered the Internet and airwaves with its 2nd trailer for the movie "John Wick: Chapter 2" reviewed as intense and a must-see movie sequel. The movie will hit theaters on Feb. 10, 2017.

The much-anticipated sequel is yet to prove whether it can surpass the 86 million dollars earned over its first film "John Wick" in 2014. The latest trailer though seems to lean on the possibility of the movie to surpass its prequel if recent reviews made by movie critics and reporters are to be counted for.

The film offers a pretty impressive taste in heightening the intensity of its action-packed story line the second time around that propels Reeve's hard-luck hitman back into the killing business, Digital Trends reported. It can be recalled that the first film was celebrated for its innovative fight choreography and influences drawn from classic action films both Eastern and Western and "John Wick: Chapter 2" seemed to retain that status basing on the 2nd trailer released by Lionsgate and Warner Brothers.

Forbes described the sequel's plot as Wick being motivated by a blood bath oath to travel to Rome and face off against the world's deadliest killers to help a former associate seize control of a shadowy international assassin's guild. The source added that plot alone brings distillation of the "Taken" formula. It will also be competing with other expected smash hits sequels like "The LEGO Batman Movie" and "Fifty Shades Darker."

"John Wick: Chapter 2" brings back screen writer Derek Kolstad, who scripted the 2014 film. Fans will still be seeing original cast members like Bridget Moynahan, LanceReddick, John Leguizamo, and Ian McShane and rooting for new cast members "Wanted" actor Common, as well as Riccardo Scamarcio, Laurence Fishbourne, Ruby Rose, and Franco Nero, who will all spiced up the assassin world of John Wick.
