When "How to Get Away with Murder" Season 3 returns on Jan. 19 at ABC, there are two mysteries that will be answered. The first is who murdered Wes and the second is the identity of the father of Laurel's baby. From the events of the third season of the TV series, the father of Laurel's baby is a toss-up between Wes and Frank because both had an affair with Laurel.

Wes had a brief relationship with Laurel (Karla Souza) after he broke up with his girlfriend. Frank revealed he still had feelings for Laurel when he suddenly shows up at her apartment after their celebration of everyone passing their class with Professor Keating. It is possible he is the father because he spent the night there. However, "How to Get Away with Murder" Season 3 is known for its unpredictability so there is a huge possibility the father of Laurel's baby is neither Wes (Alfred Enoch) nor Frank.

According to Entertainment Weekly, "How to Get Away with Murder" Season 3 Episode 9 ended in a major shocker when Wes was revealed to be the one killed in the burning house of Annalise Keating (Viola Davis). Fans assumed it was Nate (Billy Brown) since he barely did anything or Frank (Charlie Weber) because of how everyone has turned against him.

Creator Peter Nowalk revealed in an interview with Variety that the second half of "How to Get Away with Murder" Season 3 will reveal the truth between the two mysteries. One interesting development is Oliver's boyfriend Connor (Jack Falahee) is a suspect in Wes' murder too since he never liked Wes and he has threatened to kill Wes several times. Nowalk continued that the following episodes will slowly eliminate suspects from the two mysteries.
