By

The long-rumored Google Nexus 7 2016 will most likely see the light of day with huge refreshes that Google has set up for the tablet.

Google Nexus 7 2016 Rumored Specifications

The 7-inch Huawei-built tablet is said to run the newest OS, Andromeda. The Google-developed operating system enables a device to have better functionalities.

As a hybrid OS, Andromeda is a result of Android and Chrome merged into one. In the future, Andromeda will be able to bring Android apps to Chromebooks; power Google phones, laptops, and tablets to make the devices unified, Forbes reported.

Google Nexus 7 2016 will pair 4 GB of RAM with Snapdragon 820 processor according to leakster Evan Blass. Interestingly, the Huawei-made tablet will likely use 'Nexus' brand instead of Pixel, according to 9to5Google.

Google Nexus 7 2016 to be Launched in Two Variants

It's been reported that Google might introduce two Nexus 7 variants - one with Android version and the other with Andromeda OS. There is not much to reveal about the configurations or pricing.

Rumor has it that Google Nexus 7 2016 aims at iPad Pro users. To put into perspective, Apple is looking forward to introduce iPad Pro 2 next year with big overhauls include smoother navigation system and more integrated apps to be used with Apple Pencil.

Judging from the rumored specs, Google Nexus 7 tablet could have more selling points than the iPad Pro or Galaxy Tab S2. The fact that Huawei will make an affordable device seems to make Nexus 7 even harder to resist.

Google Nexus 7 2016 Release Date

Google Nexus 7 2016 is expected to be released in Q3 2017. Google is also expected to introduce the new Pixel laptop running Andromeda OS at the same event.
