Samsung Galaxy Tab S3: Tablet This Good could Kill Google Pixel C; Set for MWC 2017 Alongside Galaxy S8?

By

Samsung is rumored to gear up for Galaxy Tab S3 launch next year - a Google Pixel C killer device rocking beast specs. How good will it be?

Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 Specs Compared to Google Pixel C

Samsung might introduce two variants of Galaxy Tab S3 - WiFi and LTE models. The camera department will use 8MP rear shooter and 2MP front-facing shooter. It will pack 4,000 mAh battery and run Android Marshmallow.

Another rumor suggests two display variants, 8 inches and 9.7 inches with 2048 x 1536 pixels resolution, BGR reported. The tablet will be powered by Snapdragon 820 SoC and pair 3 GB RAM with 32 GB built-in memory, expandable up to 128 GB via MicroSD.

If the assumption is correct, then there is a huge benefit that 820 chip architecture brings to Galaxy Tab S3. As far as the processor is concerned, Snapdragon 820's Adreno 530 graphics has proven to beat Nvidia Tegra X1's GPU in Google Pixel C.

Another particular aspect could make it a better value than the Google Pixel C is the memory expansion feature that the latter is lacking of.

On the design and build, Galaxy Tab S2 already sports metal body and the new tablet iteration is expected to be an all-metal body that's slimmer as well.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 Price

The only concrete leak on Galaxy Tab S3 was the listing spotted in Zauba tracker a few months back. In November, a set of Samsung's tablets were sent to India for R&D purpose. The information mentions a 34,138 INR which translate to around $503.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 Release Date

Samsung plans to debut Galaxy Tab S3 in early 2017 according to Sammobile. There will be two big events happening in 2017, CES and MWC, and these could be a great opportunity to introduce new flagships.

While the previous information on Galaxy Tab S3 weren't accurate, the likelihood of its launch now points at MWC 2017 event where Galaxy S8 is rumored to make an appearance as well.
