The official synopsis of "Dragon Ball Super" episodes 71 and 72 has been dropped. The new saga of the anime TV series will embark a new battle between Hitman Hit and Son Goku.

The episode 71 of the anime series, which is entitled Death of Goku! The Hit-Job That Can't Be Refused, is slated to air on Dec. 18. The official synopsis of "Dragon Ball Super" episode 71 as announced by a reliable source Herms98, the legendary assassin Hit will return, and is set to assassinate Goku.

The series of events in "Dragon Ball Super" episode 71 take place when the main protagonist goes through his ordinary life and senses that someone is going to kill him. Hitman Hit will be the assassin and the two DBS characters embark in a new battle.

Meanwhile, the episode 72 of the anime series, dubbed as Can You Counterattack?! An Invisible Assassination Technique, is scheduled to air on Dec. 25. Goku and Hit's battle in "Dragon Ball Super" episode 72 come into conclusion, and the main protagonist of the anime TV series seems to be defeated. It was reported that Goku is knocked down flat on the ground.

After Goku's death, it is speculated that Gohan will take charge. This is based on the latest preview of the TV series where Goten, Piccolo and Gohan are spotted watching the scene.

Nevertheless, the notable "Dragon Ball Super" spoiler GojiitaAF, hit on his official Facebook page and stated that it is possible that Son Goku and Hit will start their battle in episode 71 and continue in the upcoming episode. This should indicate that Goku will die, but his death may be witnessed in the episode 72.

In spite of that, the episode 71 and 72 of the anime series would most likely be a precursor to the next big arc of the TV series.
