'Westworld: Season 2' Update: Show Not Getting Release Date, Season 2 To Focus More On Dolores?

By

No doubt, the first season of the American science fiction series "Westworld" came to be a stunning show, driving the crowd crazy from their seats and making them more interested in the series. Unfortunately, fans are speculating and wondering what would come next in Season 2.

The HBO blockbuster series has managed to end its first season Sunday night with a big bang. By the next day, Nolan found himself reaping accolades. The sci-fi Western-themed series was one of five TV series nominated for a 2017 Writers Guild Award on Monday.

However, executive producers and creators Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy have spoken recently to Variety, suggesting that the show won't be back until 2018. The pair has also discussed thoroughly why the delay will be two years despite other TV series primarily getting released annually. They said the conversation surrounding an extended period between seasons started with HBO while filming episode two.

While the crowd has to wait next year or 2018 for Season 2, showrunner Jonathan Nolan has managed to discuss some good news about the next season. These include some hints that would puzzle the crowd.

Nolan also made a strong hint that the host Dolores (which played by Evan Rachel Wood) will still be a main character in the upcoming Season 2. Wood is said to get more violent and more bending in the upcoming Season 2, according to GameSpot. This is possible given Dolores' violent actions in the Season 1 finale. And the upcoming Season 2 will be focusing more about Dolores, taking her newfound consciousness.

Based on the 1973 movie by Michael Crichton, "Westworld" is a sci-fi western thriller TV series created by Lisa Joy and Jonathan Nolan for HBO contents. "Westworld" set in a fictional world of Westworld, a technologically advanced, Western-themed amusement park filled by synthetic androids which they called "hosts". Westworld caters to high-paying visitors, who basically can do whatever they want within the park, without fear of retaliation from the synthetic androids.

Upon release, the series has received numerous positive reviews from critics, praising the show for its story and visual effects.
