'God Of War 4' Release Date Set In December 2017? No Multiplayer For Latest Installment; More Kratos To Come! [VIDEO]

After the initial unveiling of "God of War" back at E3 2016 in June, fans of the critically-acclaimed franchise have been keen on the latest news about the PS4-exclusive "God of War 4" and its release date. With this, rumors have been circulating around as to whether the fourth installment to the acclaimed franchise will be released in December of 2017. In addition, it seems that the upcoming game will not feature any multiplayer modes.

Fans who were awaiting for news about "God of War 4" during the PlayStation Experience 2016 would know that Cory Balrog has previously stated that they wouldn't be showing any update for the game during the event, University Herald reported.

It was also stated therein that he only plans to attend the event only to spend time with PlayStaion fans and to try out the games to be featured in the event.

Without a recent announcement of an exact release date, fans have been speculating as to when "God of War 4" will be launched. As such, rumors have pointed towards a Dec. 29, 2017 release date for the game, which was spotted via Amazon's listing.

Moreover, fans would notice that the supposed listing for "God of War 4" will be coming with a 60 US dollars price tag for the standard edition, which offered for both the digital and physical copy of the game.

In other news, it was reported that the upcoming action-adventure game, "God of War 4," will not be including a multiplayer feature in its game, Den of Geek has learned. The source cited an interview with the game's director, Cory Balrog, who said that the fourth installment will be a single-player game only.

Albeit "God of War: Ascension" was commended by Balrog for its multiplayer mode and its fresh take on the idea, he highlighted the fact that the feature wasn't compelling enough to become an essential aspect in the franchise's upcoming games.

Moreover, the source also noted the director assuring to fans that "God of War 4" will not be the last installment and that they can expect Kratos in more upcoming titles in the future.
