According to the official website of "Yakuza 6," Kiryu coincidentally becomes the captain of an amateur baseball team called the Setouchi Warriors. This is a mini game where he has to lead the team members, who are currently weak and lacks motivation.

The gameplay of the mini game happens automatically, but there are times that the players will have to manually do the actions. If a team member bats well, he will get a temporary increase in ability. They can also decide to bunt, and there is no penalty for it.

In the town, there are other athletes with baseball experience, but usually keep it a secret. To recruit these people, Kiryu will have to be friendly with them by completing different side-quests. Training the players will also help them grow and become strong contenders.
