Close

Chinese tech manufacturer Meizu has officially confirmed yesterday that they will release a new “smartphone” at an event on Nov. 30. Although there is still no exact name for the processor’s name, but rumor has it will be called "Meizu X." The new handset is also announced to feature a MediaTek Helio processor with a caption” Make Helio Great Again.”

Aside from the rumored Helio hardware, there are not much known details about the anticipated Meizu smartphone. Some Weibo leakage have featured the box of the “Meizu X” smartphone that confirms its device’s name.

According to some tech experts, the “Meizu X” might probably be a high-end device that would be a better deal than the recently unveiled “Meizu MX6” smartphone flagship.

Earlier this year, the tech company launched “Meizu MX6” in China. The flagship has a full-metal body that only weighs 150 grams. This device has a 5.5-inch Full HD display of 1080x1920 pixel resolution and equipped with mTouch 2.1 fingerprint-recognition technology for payments in WeChat and Alipay.

According to GSM Arena, the “Meizu X” might be joined with another device in the event of the announcement. Some are hinted that one of the other devices might be the “Meizu M5 Note”.

The “Meizu M5 Note” is reported to have a three GB RAM and an internal memory of 32 GB. It would also be powered with a Mediatek's Helio P10 SoC and a full High Definition display. In terms of its camera, there would be a five-megapixel front-facing camera shooter with a thirteen-megapixel rear camera. The “Meizu M5 Note” is anticipated to run an Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

The unveiling of the "Meizu X" devices and smartphones would take place on November 30 at 2:30 PM at the Beijing Performing Arts Center in China.
