He said that fun should always be there in every aspect of your life. If you have fun doing what you're doing, then it will be easier to do it. Moreover, it will make you perform better. Just think about the time which subject you fared well - that would be the time you had fun listening to the lectures of your professor.

Second, rest is also important. How many of the world's richest and most successful men suggested taking time away from work. Branson is no different from them. He said that spending time away from work will help you keep your perspective. It will also re-energize you which leads to productivity. Yet, how many people don't heed the wisdom of rest and bury themselves in work or studying.

Lastly, value is very important. Any successful venture brings value to people. In the same way, you can be successful in study and work if you see its value. If you cannot, then it will be a drag and you will end up doing what you hate doing. Moreover, not seeing the value in what you're doing takes away the element of fun.

Finally, he advised never to stop learning because if you do, you will also stop living. The thirst for learning is another common characteristic among successful people. As they say, learning gives you as edge against the competition.
