The chemistry they share onscreen is so palpable that it gives rise to speculations the two are also romancing off the screen. Johnson recently shared that she wishes to elope soon and get married secretly, but with whom?

The 27-year-old actress who plays Anastasia Steele in the successful book-turned- into-movie franchise recently joked that she should follow in the footsteps of her parents and grandparents and marry off with someone semi-suitable, The Record reported.

Johnson's parents who are Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson tie the knot in secret; so did her grandparents Tippi Hedren and Peter Griffith. The actress quipped she can also do that in her generation and if it doesn't work out the first time, then she will do it again with someone else the next time.

Johnson also expressed she feels the pressure because her mom got hitched when she was only 18. Dakota Johnson is 27 now. She believes she should elope and get married soon. However, the actress hasn't shared details about who the lucky guy is. Her last boyfriend was Matthew Hitt, whom she dated on and off for a year and called it quits about the same time Fifty Shades hit the screen.

Fans can't put it to rest that Jamie Dornan, who plays Christian Grey in Fifty Shades, and Johnson are having an affair or had an affair. This rumor further escalated when Dornan's wife, Amelia Warner, constantly accompanied him on the set of the film out of jealousy.

But reports actually say the reason Dornan's wife was around the whole time "Fifty Shades Darker" was filmed was because she was suffering from post-partum depression and Dornan just couldn't leave her by herself, Movie News Guide reported.
