A Reliable Source Revealed: Next Year's iPhones to Include 4.7" LCD Model With Single Camera, 5.5" LCD and OLED Models With Dual Cameras

The latest iPhone release has been in the market for only a few months, but there are already rumors that Apple is making a new one to mark its 10th year anniversary, according to a reliable source. The features of the new phone can be expected in the upcoming models.

"We look for new 2017 iPhones to come in three models: one OLED model, and two TFT-LCD models with the 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch display," according to KGI Securities analyst Ming Chi-Kuo as interviewed by Forbes.  "We believe the OLED and 5.5-inch TFT-LCD iPhones will feature [a] dual-camera."

So, how reliable is this source anyway? Ming Chi-Kuo has an untainted record in obtaining the future plans of Apple, including the details of the iPhone 7 before it was released, the iPhone 6 and even the iPhone SE, reported Forbes.

As Ming Chi Kuo revealed, Apple fans will be expecting not just two, but three iPhones next year. Both iPhone 8 4.7 inch display and iPhone 8 Plus 5.5-inch display will have LCD screen while the OLED screen will be featured in the other version of iPhone 8 Plus. So, what else can be expected apart from the fact that Apple is finally embracing the idea of using an OLED display?

According to BGR, speculations surfaced that Apple will remove the home button and will be replaced by a fingerprint sensor so as to get a full-screen design.

Following the use of OLED display, Apple is rumored to be using an all-glass casing. Although this isn't the first time Apple is using a glass as it has been used in the iPhone 4 and 4S. There were also durability and weight issues with the use of an all-glass casing but Ming noted that the use of the thinner and lighter AMOLED will compensate the heavy glass, Mirror reported.
