Leaked Meizu Pro 7 Possibility of Kirin Chipset, Fingerprint Sensor

It has only been a couple of days when the Meizu Pro 6s was launched in the market. Yet some news has spread that Meizu, the creator of the device, is apparently working on a new flagship.

The new Meizu Pro 7 might actually come out sooner than expected as the device was leaked to be launched by at the end of the month this year.

Meizu Pro 7 leaked Presentation

In a PlayfulAndroid report, an alleged couple of leaked Power Point presentation for the upcoming Meizu Pro 7 was seen on Chinese Weibo.

According to the leak, the Meizu Pro 7 will feature key specifications such as 6GB of RAM and a memory storage capacity of 64GB and 128GB via expandable memory space.

Meizu Pro 7 jumping to Kirin 960 SoC

Another set of slides have apparently appeared as well. At this point, the new smartphone is seen to have the possibility of a Kirin 960 chipset running the new handset.

Over the years, Meizu has been partnered with Samsung and built the Meizu Pro 5 with its descent Exynos 7420. However according to some reports, the new Meizu Pro 7 might have a high possibility to jump into Huawei’s SoC.

The new device is said to feature a new Cortez-A73 CPU core and the Mali-G71 Vulkan-enabled GPU which is from Huawei’s latest SoC.

Furthermore, the Sony IMX 386 camera sensor is also anticipated to feature at the back of the device. This is the same with its predecessor Pro 6s.

Meizu Pro 7 Fingerprint sensor

The new Meizu Pro 7 is also under the huge expectation to have an under-the-glass fingerprint sensor made by Sonavation. This was after Sonavation Inc’s name was seen on some slides of the leaked presentation.

Meizu Pro 7 Release Date

The new flagship is expected to be unveiled by Meizu on the late part of November or on the early weeks of December. That is if there will be no problems and delays of its launching.

Meizu Technology Co., Ltd – the creator of the smartphone line was founded in 2003. The Chinese electronics company is based in Guangdong, China and are also manufacturing some electronic devices.
