Apple Introduces (PRODUCT)RED Solo3 Wireless Headphones and Beats Pill+ Speaker [Video]

By

Continuing its partnership with charity organization (PRODUCT)RED, Apple recently debuts two new Beats products: Beats Pill+ and the Beats Solo3 Wireless Headphones.

(PRODUCT)RED is a charity organization and also a licensed brand that engages the private sector in raising HIV/AIDS awareness and raise funds that help eliminate the disease in Africa. Apple usually run campaigns for (PRODUCT)RED during World Aids Day as well as sales of (PRODUCT)RED which all proceeds of the sales go towards HIV research, education, and prevention, according to MacRumors.

Last year, Apple announced that its total contributions exceeded $100 million. The combined total fund raised in 2015 garnered $320 million that included contributions coming from participating companies. According to AppleInsider, The Global Fund to Fight Aids, Tuberculosis, and Malaria is the main recipient of (PRODUCT)RED funds.

The Solo3 Wireless Headphones and Beats Pill+ Speaker are not entirely new products but a variation of existing ones. The Solo3 Wireless Headphones is priced at $300 while the Beats Pill+ Speaker retails at $230. Both products come in "Citrus Red". It doesn't hurt helping a charity out yet look stylish at the same time.

Both Solo3 Wireless Headphones and Beats Pill+ Speaker will be "coming soon." Since (PRODUCT)RED tends to launch on Worlds Aids Day, count on its availability come December 1.

It is licensed to partner companies that include, Nike, The Coca-Cola Company, Converse, Electronic Arts, Armani, Starbucks, Gap, Hallmark, Apple Inc., and Beats. The organization was founded in part by U2 frontman and activist, Bono, back in 2006.

Apple has been (PRODUCT)RED's largest since its inception. This is mostly in part to the late Steve Jobs who was on good terms with Bono. As of today, millions have received life-saving HIV treatment. Yearly, Apple's product offerings of (PRODUCT)RED products continually evolve and changes.

So far, the biggest single sale of (PRODUCT)RED branded product was a red Mac Pro. It was purchased at an auction back in 2013 for $977,000 by none other than the "father of the iPod" Tony Fadell.
