‘Street Fighter V’ News & Update: ‘Akuma’ Added as Latest Playable Character in the Game [VIDEO]

By

Capcom has a way of surprising its fans by way of revealing more characters in the "Street Fighter V" game. Not only that, but the new character Akuma is a playable one too. The recently concluded Red Bull Battleground tournament served as the event that gave Capcom the opportunity to introduce Akuma in a video trailer.

Unfortunately, the trailer did not include gameplay and the character is said to be playable at the PlayStation Experience on December 3-4 in Anaheim. Interestingly, According to DualShockers, "Street Fighter V" is not the only fighting game that acquired Akuma in the past. In fact, "Tekken 7" will also adapt Akuma as a Street Fighter player - playing significant role in the game.

According to the Attack of the Fanboy, Akuma on "Tekken 7" will have a bigger role as his character will have its own special role in the storyline of the game. Akuma is considered as the first DLC for "Street Fight V" Season 2 of the game. Prior to his arrival, the SFV roster seemed small, but since Capcom has confirmed its arrival, more players are keen on purchasing the game.

Meanwhile, players need not buy the whole game again in order to get Akuma. The latest DLC can be earned or bought with the base game. Akuma's introduction by Capcom can be seen below wherein, his strength and power were significantly portrayed by bolts of lightning; depending on how the player will use the character.

If you are not aware of Akuma's history, he first joined the Street Fighter series as the hidden boss on "Super Street Fighter II Turbo." Players who wish to try or discover more of the character can attend the upcoming PlayStation Experience. "Street Fighter V" is now available on the PS4 and PC platforms.
