‘Fifty Shades Darker’ Spoilers: The ‘Vampire Diaries’ Star Ian Somerhalder to Play Jack Hyde, Dir. James Foley Revealed Scenes Shot Using VR

The much-awaited "Fifty Shades Darker" is finally hitting the cinemas, but some roles aren't filled yet and this includes the character of Jack Hyde, Anastasia Steele's boss at SIP.  

However, there were speculations about Ian Somerhalder and Theo James as choices for Jack Hyde's character. What makes Somerhalder fit for the role?

Fashion & Style reported there are two candidates to portray the character of Jack Hyde after Henry Cavill denied rumors that he will be part of the "Fifty Shades Darker cast.   

The "Vampire Diaries" star Ian Somerhalder where he played the character of a mysterious vampire not afraid of taking risks and making mistakes. His previous performance in "Vampire Diaries" makes him the top choice and perfect fit for the role, according to Reality Today.  In addition, Somerhalder has already played dark and light characters at which best describe Jack Hyde in the movie.   

Another candidate for Jack Hyde's role is Theo James. According to Latino Post, the "Divergent" star is known for his action-packed role in the said movie, and his recent Hugo Boss perfume campaign had caused many to believe he is fit for the role.

Jack Hyde's role in the "Darker" sequel of "Fifty Shades" trilogy is bit complex due to his heavy past, which makes it hard to determine and find the exact fit.  

"Fifty Shades Darker" director James Foley who replaced Sam Taylor-Johnson, revealed that the scenes were shot using the VR technology only for marketing purposes, The Guardian reported. The VR version will not be included in the cinema version, said Foley.

Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan will resume their respective roles as Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey, though there were rumors about Jamie Dornan leaving the movie. The role of Leila Williams is still not filled, though rumors about the top two candidates for the role, Kendall Jenner and Lucy Hale had surfaced.
