If you are wishing to get Samsung Gear VR Headset, here's the good news. You can get this device for free! Here's how.

You can Gear VR headset by purchasing or leasing Samsung Galaxy S7 or Galaxy S7 Edge smartphone through Sunday, Oct. 9, according to Digital Trends. The publication added you must keep the offer claim and submit it with a photo of your receipt on Oct. 17.

The submitted receipt will be reviewed Samsung within four to six weeks. Once it was approved, you will receive the device within 12 weeks.

Aside from getting a free Gear VR, you can opt to receive a 256GB memory card, or a $100 Samsung.com eCertificate, if you purchase a Galaxy S7 Active.

To get VR content (which costs $50), create a free Oculus account. After that, your content will automatically appear in the Oculus app with a "download" option instead of a "purchase" option. Once it was downloaded to your library, it's yours. You should download it before February 28, 2017, because this is the date of expiration of the free downloads.

Samsung Gear VR vs. Google's Daydream

Daydream's display depends and refresh rate on the device. Its required hardware are Google Pixel, Pixel XL, and forthcoming Daydream-compatible phone. It has motion controller and its connection is wireless. Daydream costs $79. Pre-orders will be available on October 20. The gear VR's optical lens is 101° field of view, and its display is 2560 x 1440 pixel Super AMOLED. Its required hardware are, Galaxy Note 5, Note 7, Galaxy S6, S6 Edge, S6 Edge+, S7, S7 Edge.

The price is $99, and it comes in blue black. It is no available in the market

Engadget reviewed both VRs, and here's what they think. Google Daydream has wide eye cups, and you will feel comfortable using it. Meanwhile, the Gear VR, with the recent update, appears to be more comfortable to use. The publication added that Gear VR is more immersive.
