'The Good Wife' Spinoff, Release Date, Spoilers: Sarah Steele Joins Spinoff, Plot Details Revealed?

The legal drama series, "The Good Wife" spinoff is reported to air in 2017, with no exact date announced yet. There are few details revealed online this week.

"The Good Wife" Season 7 was announced to be the last season during "Super Bowl 50," Feb. 7. Its final episode was aired on May 8.

One of the unforgettable moments of "The Good Wife is when Alicia (Julianna Margulies) tells Will (Josh Charles), "I'll love you forever." However, the sweet moment turned into tragic when Josh Charles' character died in Season 5, episode 16, "The Last Call." Will got shot in the courtroom.

It is not clear if Alicia will end up with Jason (Jeffrey Dean Morgan). Jason is also another love interest of Alicia, maybe in spinoff, viewers will find out if there's a happy ending between them.

What to expect on "The Good Wife" spinoff?

The spin-off series has 10 episodes, and this series is set  after the May 2016 final episode, Vanity Fair reported.

Sarah Steele will return on "The Good Wife" spinoff, and she will reprise her role,  Marissa Gold, Hollywood Reporter confirmed. Although the spinoff is confirmed, until now, the title is not yet announced, so meaning, viewers should wait for an update.

Aside from Steele, Christine Baranski and Cush Jumbo reprised their roles as attorneys Diane Lockhart and Lucca Quinn.

According to the source, the spin0ff series will center around financial scam that destroyed the reputation of a young lawyer and Diane Lockhart's savings (Christine Baranski) . Steele's character recurred on 22 episodes of "The Good Wife."

Aside from appearing on the legal drama series, Steele is known for her roles on "Nurse Jackie" and "Gossip Girl." One of her achievements was winning an Independent Spirit Award as part of 2010 comedy drama "Please Give." She also appeared in play "The Humans," a Tony award-winning Broadway
