'The Last Guardian' Gameplay, Release Date: Demo With Graphical, Control Issues; Only 18-Min Gameplay Was Revealed During Tokyo Game Show 2016; Dec. 6 Release Happening?

By

"The Last Guardian" demo had graphical issues and problems with its controls, which spoiled its ability to be fully enjoyed by players. However, it seems that Team Ico is aware of the said issues that is why the release date of the game may be delayed. The developer is apparently working to iron out the problems before they deliver the game to the public.

While the news on a possibility of a delay in its release may not be pleasing to fans who had waited for a long time, it may still be good to know that Team Ico is determined in polishing the final product in order to come up with a better gameplay. Rescheduling the release date seems to be a better option than releasing "The Last Guardian" with errors and issues in its gameplay, Game Rant reported.

"The Last Guardian" gameplay footage, on the other hand, was revealed at the Tokyo Game Show 2016 which ran for 18 minutes. The 18-minute footage was also made available online by Famitsu which shows the game's protagonist, a young boy who will explore the world of the game and interact with Trico, a mammoth which is a half bird and half mammal.

Team Ico reportedly used the TGS 2016 to show off the much anticipated title for fans who have been eager to see what its actual gameplay would look like. However, the developer has yet to release an official "The Last Guardian" demo so fans may just rely on the gameplay footage for now.

Meanwhile, "The Last Guardian" was also made available for play at the TGS 2016. A part of its gameplay already made an appearance at E3 2015 but was not playable back then. The gameplay revealed that the title is about solving puzzles in order to reach the next objective, IGN reported.

"The Last Guardian" is slated for a Dec. 6 release date. It is reportedly intended to be a PlayStation 4 exclusive. Watch "The Last Guardian" 18 Minutes of NEW GAMEPLAY from Tokyo Game Show!
