iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus reveal proved some of the rumored specs and features of the said devices such as water-resistance, longer battery life, wireless headphones, a new Jet Black variant and a camera upgrade. The devices will be available for pre orders starting Sept. 9 while shipping will begin on Sept. 16.

The new iPhone lineup marks the first time that the company released a water-resistant smartphone. The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus  are said to be IP67-protection standard which means that they are safe from splashes, spills and dust, Forbes reported.

It has also been established that the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus  are equipped with the new A10 Fusion chip that enables its CPU to have four cores. Two of the said cores are suggested to make the device run two times faster than the iPhone 6. More importantly, such cores are believed to help extend the device's battery life, making the iPhone 7 last two hours more than the iPhone 6s while the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus  last an hour more than the iPhone 6s Plus.

Previous rumors suggested that the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus  will remove its headphone jack which has been proven true in the recent reveal. The new iPhone devices will now rely on its wireless headphones called AirPods. The AirPods are said to equip the new Apple W1 chip, providing a reliable wireless connection, MacWorld reported,

Another fresh feature from Apple's new flagship is its Jet Black variant.  iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus in Jet Black features a mirror-like finish which is said to be made through a nine-step anodization and polishing process. It also features a stainless steel Apple logo.

iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus  are also arriving with improved camera capabilities. The camera has been upgraded to a high speed 12 MP sensor and a new Quad-LED True Tone flash which is expected to be 50 percent brighter than the flash on the iPhone 6s.

iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are also equipped with optical image stabilization with a larger f/1.8 aperture and a six-element lens for sharper and more vibrant images. Watch iPhone 7 & 7 Plus Official Reveal Trailers - Specs, Pricing & Release Date
