A love story based on a best-selling novel was adapted into amovie starring Michael Fassbender and his real-life partner, Alicia Vikander. This nw film could help the couple win an Oscar's award in 2017.

"The Light Between Oceans" is a love story film that would hit the theatre on September 2 starring two award-winning actors: Michael Fassbender and Alicia Vikaner. The pair was a real life couple which adds to the romantic chemistry of the duo. The film is award-winning and could win Michael and Alicia an Oscar award, Irish Central reported.

The plot of the story in which the movie was based upon revolves around an island off the west coast of Australia. The character named Tom Sherbourne, which is played by Michael Fassbender, is a war-torn veteran who takes up a job on Janus Rock as a lighthouse keeper. There, he brought his wife, played by Alicia Vikander, and there they exhibited their romantic chemistry.

The best-selling novel that tells the story of these lovers was written by M.L. Stedman.  The setting was in a post-World War 1 Australia where young Tom and his wife Isabel was taking a romantic refuge in an island far from the mainland. Isabel suffered two miscarriages leaving the couple childless. However, this changes when a mysterious child was washed ashore and they raised the baby girl as their own, according to Los Angeles Times.

This is now where the problem comes in since the child was raised in lie. Now, the truth is about to come out as the couple discovers the real parents of the child. They are now devastated as to what to do. Isabel does not want to return the  child but Tom is a principled man who considers potential consequances of his action.

The movie's theme is about marital and parental love. However, "The Light Between Oceans" is a unique film that takes time and smoothly flows until the theme emerges at an ideal place.
