Galaxy J7 vs Galaxy A5 review: Specs

Samsung Galaxy J7 sports 5.5 inch display, Super AMOLED with 720 x 1280 pixels resolutions and 267 ppi pixel density. Galaxy A5, which is packed with 5.2 inch screen display, has better sharpness given its 1080 x 1920 pixels resolutions and 424 ppi pixel density.

And since Galaxy J7 has just received an upgrade from the original version, it runs newer Android OS, the Marshmallow, whilst Galaxy A5 settles with Lollipop but it is upgradable to Marshmallow, GSM Arena wrote.

Galaxy J7 uses Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 and Octa-core 1.6 GHz Cortex-A53 CPU. It has 16 GB of internal storage and 2 GB of RAM. There is also dedicated slot for memory expansion up to 256 GB.

Galaxy A5 uses Qualcomm MSM8939 Snapdragon 615 with Octa-core 1.6 GHz Cortex-A53 processor. It has the same internal storage and RAM as the one in Galaxy J7.

Galaxy J7 recieves new module, f/1.9 aperture, and for a mid-budget smartphone, it shows a pretty detail results - solid and accurate too.

Galaxy J7 vs Galaxy A5 review: Price

There is a significant price gap between both Samsung phones. Galaxy J7 is priced around $202 whilst the A5 is about $328. The eyes can't be fooled by the elegant and premium feel of A5. However, when it comes to value, A5 is a little bit overpriced given its slightly higher specs than the Galaxy J7.
